Post image for Drought‏ – Deletes Nation of The Nature

A drought is a natural danger that has many negative effects on ecology and human activities. A drought might become a catastrophe at any moment.

While this natural climatic event occurs step by step very slowly, as it persists the consequences become very dangerous. Usually related to lack of rainfall and therefore lack of water, a drought causes diminished agricultral production and may lead to famine and death. For this reason, it is a very serious social and economic problem.

Very Serious Problem

Especially in the last few years, much like many regions around the world, drought has effected our country. To do research and devise migitation strategies, a drought definition that is valid for every occurance must be found.

In all definitions, lack of rainfall related to climatic undulations is accepted as main cause. Drops in natural ( above and underground ) water levels because of insufficient rainfall is one of the most widely accepted definitions of a drought.

But also, it’s not correct to say that any decrease in rainfall will lead to a drought. To decide if there’s a drought, temperature, moisture, climate and water vaporization in the area must be carefully considered.
